When Tulane Green players Sean Donnelly (a right guard) and Tanzel Smart (a defensive tackle) got into something of schmozzle during a training session on Wednesday, their head coach Curtis Johnson knew there was only one acceptable punishment.

He made them hold hands and walk around the field for 20 minutes.

“Yeah, we had a little bit of an altercation and they kind of wasted some of my practice time so I took a different approach in disciplining them,” Johnson told The Times-Picayune.
“If they want to act like kindergarten kids, then I just want to treat them like kindergarten kids.”
And while Johnson said he’s never used that approach on football players before, it has come in handy at home.
“Well, I’ve done it with my daughters, but it was pretty effective.”
